A Belgian tradition taste for quality chocolate that runs in our blood
BellaBoca Americas was started by two emigrant brothers, Pierre and Franciscus Mahieu, who came to the America’s in the 1980’s. The Mahieu family traces their roots back to the Belgian Chocolate region of Vlaanderen since 1765. While their family operated confectionary retail in Europe, the two brothers learned the confectionary trade with companies such as Perfetti van Melle, Bremner Bakery and Ralston Purina cookies & crackers. In 1998 they started direct import of BellaBoca chocolate from Belgium to the Americas.
